Terms of service.
1. Booking and Payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your session date.
Payments are refundable only if requested within 72 hours of booking and prior to the scheduled photoshoot.
No refunds will be issued after the session has taken place under any circumstances.
Sessions may be rescheduled free of charge for weather, illness, family emergencies, or any reason communicated in good faith prior to or after the original date.
2. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Rescheduling is always permitted at no extra charge.
If you fail to attend your scheduled photoshoot without notice (“no-show”), your payment is non-refundable. However, if you later communicate the reason for the absence, River Underwood Photography will make a reasonable effort to reschedule your session at no additional cost.
In the rare event that River Underwood Photography must cancel a session, a reschedule will be offered at the client’s choice.
3. Delivery of Images
Edited digital images are delivered via Google Drive within 30 days of the photoshoot unless otherwise specified in writing.
Only edited images are included in the final delivery unless the client specifically requests access to RAW (unedited) images. In such cases, River Underwood Photography will temporarily share the Adobe Lightroom catalogue (typically for 7 days) to allow clients to view and request additional edits.
The Google Drive link will be available indefinitely after the shoot, meaning the client will always have access to their images via the Drive folder. If the client has any issues with accessing the Google Drive folder, they can reach out to River Underwood Photography for assistance.
4. Copyright and Usage Rights
River Underwood Photography retains full copyright to all images taken during any session.
Clients are granted personal use rights, meaning you may print, share, or post the images online for personal or promotional purposes.
When sharing on social media, photo credit or tagging (@RiverUnderwoodPhotography) is appreciated but not required.
Clients may not sell, alter, or use images for commercial purposes without prior written consent from River Underwood Photography.
5. Portfolio and Marketing Use
River Underwood Photography reserves the right to use images from all sessions for portfolio display, website galleries, social media, marketing, or print materials.
Clients who wish to keep their images private may request in writing that their session not be shared publicly. This must be communicated before or at the time of image delivery.
6. Editing and Retouching
All images are professionally edited in River Underwood Photography’s signature style.
Clients may request additional edits or adjustments; however, these requests are subject to approval and may require additional time for delivery.
River Underwood Photography does not release unedited RAW files to clients, except through the temporary Lightroom catalogue preview as stated above.
7. Client Conduct and Liability
Clients are expected to behave respectfully and safely during their session.
River Underwood Photography is not responsible for injuries, damages, or loss of property that may occur before, during, or after the photoshoot.
When sessions occur at a client’s property or private location, it is the client’s responsibility to secure any necessary permissions or access rights.
8. Weather and Environmental Conditions
Outdoor sessions are subject to weather conditions. If the weather prevents a successful shoot, the session will be rescheduled at no charge.
In cases of extreme conditions or safety concerns, River Underwood Photography reserves the right to reschedule or relocate the session.
By booking a session with River Underwood Photography, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the above Terms and Conditions. This agreement is legally binding upon payment and/or signature.
